JCB Begins Tier 3 Engine Production

JCB has begun production of a common rail Tier 3 diesel engine as annual volumes at the company’s power systems plant in Foston, England, rise above the 30,000 level. The new Dieselmax 444 engines in Tier 3 form will be available in power ratings of 130 and 144 hp (97 and 108 kW) for use in JCB products.

JCB has also announced its first external OEM account for JCB engines with the U.K. company supplying 300 to 400 units annually to Sellick of Canada for use in its rough terrain forklifts.
