New President, Expansion For United Alloy
United Alloy, Inc. (UAI) has named Stephan Achs as president and chief revenue officer. Achs was formerly vice president of sales and marketing for UAI. The company said the promotion is part of the company’s plan to transform itself from a regionally strong manufacturer of components for backup generators into a firm that competes both nationwide and internationally in serving the wider power equipment industry.
United Alloy is an ISO certified OEM manufacturer of UL, UN and NFPA fuel tanks, frames, trailers and fabrications for the power equipment and off highway equipment markets.
Achs previously was chief operating officer of Forrer Supply, and before that president and chief revenue officer for Kabelschlepp America Inc., a manufacturer of cable and hose management systems.
With Achs promotion, Jeffrey Servis has been named director of business & market development at UAI. Servis had previously been with Generac, Onan Power Generation and Kohler. He also served as vice president of sales and service, for Northshore Power Systems.
United Alloy’s new focus on market growth is being matched by an expansion in manufacturing capacity. The firm is building a 112,500 sq. ft. addition to its production facility in Janesville, Wis., effectively doubling the plant’s floor space, expanding its capabilities and making room for an expected 30% increase in employment over the next 3 to 5 years.
