Traction Inverter

Arens Controls has added to its line of automotive-hardened traction inverters designed for applications such as large transit buses, medium-duty trucks and construction and agricultural equipment. The new Arens PowerPac 100 kW traction inverter is engineered to provide high power density in a compact enclosure that the company said can fit within a vehicle battery box.

The PowerPac 100 can accommodate input voltages of 250, 360 (nominal) and 450 360 Vdc with a continuous power output of 48 kVA and a peak power output of 97 kVA. Control power ranges from 6 to 36 Vdc. The unit is housed in a cast enclosure sealed to IP-67/6K9K standards and has a continuous operating temperature range of -40° to 221° F.

Designed for compactness, PowerPac 100 is 12.99 in. long, 11.2 in. high and 6.50 in. wide and weighs 50 lb.
