Posted on July 14, 2011

Light and compact equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson SE announced the appointment of Cem Peksaglam as chief executive officer. Peksaglam, 43, will assume his new duties Sept. 1, succeeding Dr. Georg Sick, who left the executive board last September.

Peksaglam previously held a variety of management positions in the Bosch Group. From 2007 to 2010, he was president and managing director of Robert Bosch (Southeast Asia) Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore, where he was responsible for Bosch’s activities in Southeast Asia.

“Establishing a strong base in Europe and North America was previously a top priority for many European construction equipment manufacturers,” said Hans Neunteufel, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wacker Neuson SE. “Over the next 20 years, however, Asia and South America will become major growth spots. Our decision to appoint Mr. Peksaglam CEO aligns with our strategy to capitalize on the challenges and opportunities presented by these markets.”

In addition to the role of CEO, Peksaglam will be responsible for investor relations, legal issues, HR, group auditing, real estate and quality management.
