Austin Ramirez New President And CEO At HUSCO
HUSCO Inc., the global manufacturer of engineered hydraulic and electrohydraulic control systems for the off-highway and on-highway equipment and vehicle markets, announced that Austin Ramirez has been named president and CEO effective immediately. He succeeds his father, Agustin A. “Gus” Ramirez, HUSCO’s executive chairman and CEO for the last 25 years.
The elder Ramirez will continue as an executive chairman with responsibility for financial risk management, bank relationships and oversight of strategic initiatives worldwide.
Austin Ramirez will have direct responsibility for global human resources, engineering, marketing, and will oversee all HUSCO operations globally. His primary responsibility will be providing executive leadership for the global HUSCO enterprise with a focus on driving growth and the commercialization of new products and technologies.
The younger Ramirez has held several positions at HUSCO, including director of planning in business development, project management, new product and business development, strategic planning. He has been the CEO of HUSCO Automotive since 2008. He also worked for McKinsey and Co., a global management consultant.
The company also announced that Bob Mortensen has been named chief operating officer of HUSCO’s Off-Highway business, responsible for global manufacturing, quality, and purchasing for the Off-Highway Equipment business, leading HUSCO’s operations in China, India, Europe, Brazil and North America. Jason Schuetz has been appointed the new vice president of Automotive operations, reporting to HUSCO Automotive President Todd Zakreski. Schuetz will have direct manufacturing responsibility for automotive manufacturing facilities in Whitewater and Waukesha, Wis., and China.
