New Division, New Positions At Altronic

Altronic Inc., the Girard, Ohio, manufacturer of industrial ignition systems and instrumentation, has announced the formation of an Engineered System Services (ESS) Division designed to offer an expanded range of resources and solutions exclusively to authorized Altronic distributors.

Barry Powell has been named general manager of the new unit and others on the ESS staff include Paul McHenry as project manager, Mark See as field service manager and Sandy Winans as logistics manager. Powell will also serve as Altronic's International Area Manager for Asia. He will work closely with distributors and customers to promote the sales of Altronic and Altronic Controls products in the region.

Altronic also announced the retirement of Richard P. (Dick) Schook after more than 27 years at Altronic, Inc., most of them as vice president of sales and service. In conjunction with Schook’s retirement, the company announced several promotions within the sales and service departments. David E. Bell has been named vice president, Aftermarket Sales and Service. He joined the company in 1984 and most recently manager of Aftermarket Sales and Marketing.

Keith Brooks becomes vice president, OEM Sales. He joined Altronic in 1995 as OEM sales manager, a position he has held until now. Thomas P. Smith has been promoted to director of Service Operations. He joined Altronic in 1986 and most recently served as service manager.

Other promotions include Michael Porter to regional manager for sales and service for the east-central U.S.; Timothy Ricker to technical representative in the inside service group at headquarters in Girard; Jos Struker to international area manager for Africa and the Middle East; and Matthew A. Donham to OEM sales representative.
