Denis New President & CEO Of Manitou Group

Manitou Group, the French-based manufacturer of material handling equipment sold under the Manitou, Gehl, Mustang, Loc and Edge brand names, announced the appointment of Michel Denis as the new president and chief executive officer. Denis, who is receiving a four-year term expiring at the shareholders’ meeting for the approval of 2017 financial statements, succeeds Dominique Bamas, who held the positions on an interim basis since March 6 of last year. He will assume his new functions as of Jan. 13.

Denis, 48, began his career as a strategy consultant. He joined Dalkia in 1994 to develop cogeneration systems and subsequently managed the French businesses of MC International which later became Johnson Controls. In 2003 he joined the Fraikin Group, a significant European truck rental firm, where he served as CEO until August 2013.
