Posted on January 23, 2013

Apparently, the new year heralds a slew of upper management changes throughout the industry. The latest to announce a top tier shakeup is the Husqvarna Group, the outdoor power equipment manufacturer whose products include chainsaws, trimmers, lawn mowers and garden tractors.

Husqvarna has made two changes in Group Management as of January 23, 2013. Michael Jones, executive vice president and head of the company’s business unit Americas, has decided to leave the group. Nicolas Lanus has been appointed executive vice president and head of the Sales and Service Asia/Pacific business unit and will become new member of Group Management.

Lanus, joined Husqvarna in 2001 and has held numerous roles within sales, marketing, product management and business development across Europe, Latin America and Asia/Pacific. Most recently he has held the position as vice president sales and service for the Asia/Pacific region.

Earl Bennett, vice president and general counsel for Americas, has been appointed acting head of Americas, as of January 23, 2013. He will become member of Group Management until a replacement has been recruited.

Cummins, Terex, Vermeer and Yanmar America have also announced management changes recently.
