Posted on January 5, 2007

Capstone Turbine Corp. said it has received a new follow-on order from its distributor in Russia amounting to approximately $1.6 million (or 1.8 MW) of C65 microturbine systems. Capstone's distributor in Russia, Banking Production Center (BPC), ordered the systems which will be deployed at multiple sites throughout Russia.

Previous microturbines ordered from BPC have been deployed in a variety of applications, including a commercial business complex in Moscow, a shopping center, telecommunications facilities, a prestigious ski resort complex near St. Petersburg, and a hotel in Moscow, among others.

"Our market research had identified Russia as a potentially good market for Capstone, and we have seen that become a reality with repeat business for our products," said Darren Jamison, president and CEO of Capstone. "Our distributor in Russia, BPC, has provided expertise in deploying a number of multiple unit combined heat and power applications that offer customers effective and reliable solutions."
