Woodward, Inc. will co-host instructional seminars on distributed power generation and compressor technology with distribution partner Governor Control Systems, Inc., of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The seminars will take place in Atlanta, Ga., and are scheduled for April 22-24 in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta Airport.

According to Woodward, the seminars topics to be featured are:

April 22: Steam Turbine, Gas Turbine & Compressor Basics

April 23: Introduction to Distributed Power Generation, Control and Management

April 24: Control of Natural Gas and Bio-Gas Engines, Emissions Workshop

These non-commercial instructional seminars are targeted to professional and specifying engineers, project designers, facility managers, and end users who wish to expand their knowledge of control strategies and network with other industry professionals. The subject matter is technical in nature but is presented to accommodate novice laypersons with minimal experience, said Woodward. Because the lectures are not intended to promote specific products or services, each session qualifies for six professional development hours.

The seminars are open to the public and attendees may register for any sessions of interest. The nominal registration fee includes all session materials, a continental breakfast and banquet lunch.
