Deere Shifting Some ZTR Mower Production

Posted on February 28, 2014

Deere & Co. will move some production from a Wisconsin plant to Tennessee, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Deere said it will shift production of its EZTrak zero-turn mowers from its Horicon facility to a plant in Greeneville, Tenn. The Horicon facility manufactures lawn & equipment and utility vehicles and has approximately 900 employees. The move will not reduce the number of year-round employees in Horicon, but will reduce by a few dozen the number of seasonal employees hired during peak manufacturing months, the company said.
