Posted on February 21, 2014

Caterpillar’s Reman, Components and Work Tools Division and the Large Power Systems Division gathered in Corinth, Miss. recently, the hub of Cat’s Reman products and services, to inaugurate the expansion of its operations to include the remanufacture of C175 engines.

The event took place in the new large engine facility, which consists of C175 assembly, test and paint operations.  Production of the C175 will ramp up throughout the year and represents a company investment of $14.8 million, with an expectation to create approximately 30.

In addition to the large engine facility, the Mississippi Reman campus has a facility that remanufactures engines, cylinder heads, cranks and blocks; a facility which provides core inspection and dealer support services; and a third operation for internal component remanufacturing resides. The nearby Corinth Logistics Facility houses parts storage.
