New New Rollers, Asphalt Finisher From Bomag
At Bauma, Bomag will show its new Series 5 articulated tandem rollers. The new 6 to 8 tonne class machines are suited for small- to medium-sized asphalt applications, such as in inner-city areas, the company said. The T 141-5 roller, incorporating a Tier 4 diesel, will go into production directly after the Bauma show. The integrated Ecomode system controls the engine speed in relation to load and on average reduces diesel consumption by over 30%, said Bomag.
The company will also premiere its new BF 900 C asphalt finisher with a new auger and scraper chain drives for high volume applications with maximum widths up to 13 m. Bomag’s largest finisher, it incorporates a 160 kW Deutz diesel engine compliant with Tier 4 interim and Stage 3b emissions regulations.
Finally, Bomag’s earthworks division will unveil its new generation of single drum rollers in the 5 to 8 tonne class. The BW 145 and BW 177 machines also incorporate the integrated Ecomode function to adjust the vehicle’s speed according to work load. The rollers also offer an engine-stop function designed to switch off the engine after a defined idle period, preventing unnecessary fuel consumption.
Bomag is located in area F10, Booths 1008-1009.
