Murphy To Lead Sugar Products At Deere

John Deere has appointed Timothy J. Murphy global director, Sugar Product Line effective Jan. 16. He succeeds Craig Fawcett, who is leaving Deere to pursue opportunities with his family business.

 In his new position Murphy will lead the efforts to drive growth within the sugar cane harvesting business globally and will continue collaboration with the Worldwide Construction & Forestry (C&F) Division to manage supply relationships in landscape loaders and scrapers.

Murphy joined Deere & Co. in 1996 as a senior financial analyst in the treasury department. Throughout his career he has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the construction and forestry division, as well as in business development and the treasury department at Deere. Murphy has held the positions of vice president and chief financial officer of Nortrax Inc., director, finance and accounting-South America, and director, strategic planning and business development of the agricultural division. Most recently, Murphy has been president and CEO of Nortrax for C&F.
