bauma Debut For Hyundai Mini-Excavator

Posted on March 1, 2013

Hyundai Heavy Industries will launch the R25Z-9A model at bauma, a move the company said fills a gap in its line-up of mini crawler excavators. The zero-turn-radius excavator has a 1.3 L, Tier 4 Mitsubishi S3L2 diesel producing 17.2 kW at 2300 r/min. With a maximum digging reach of 4.48 meters and maximum digging depth of 2.42 meters, Hyundai said it paid particular attention to soundproofing, thus the noise level for the operator inside the closed cab is 82 dB(A), and 94 dB(A) outside.

The new mini-excavator has two driving speeds, 2.5/4.5 km/h, enabling it to be used more slowly in a delicate work environment or be driven at higher speed to the work site. The new excavator is 4.0 meters long, 2.5 meters high and 1.5 meters wide. It comes standard with 250 mm rubber tracks for particularly low ground pressure and with blade. It has a wide range of optional attachments for use in construction, excavation, and landscaping work.

Hyundai Heavy Industries is in outside area F8 booth 813A.
