Diesel Emission Controls

Posted on February 25, 2013

HJS will display its modular sintered metal filter (SMF) system for applications in the medium to high power engine range at Bauma.  The system uses continuous regeneration technology (CRT) to break down the soot that collects in the SMF, thus combining an upstream diesel oxidation catalyst with a sintered metal filter.

As far as active regeneration is concerned, HJS will also show its sintered metal filter with autarkic thermoelectric regeneration (SMF-AR) for systems with low exhaust temperatures. The SMF-AR generates itself the heat necessary for the regeneration and has a 100% capability for soot particles removal, said HJS.

HJS also offers retrofit solutions for construction machines,  tailored to the specific requirements of the machine’s make and model.  These systems can usually replace the original vehicle's silencer.
