Cat Cutting 1400 Jobs in Belgium

Caterpillar Inc. said will cut 1400 jobs at its Gosselies facility in Belgium.  The equipment and engine manufacturer blamed high costs and the weak European economy for the cuts. 

Gosselies manufactures hydraulic excavators, loaders and engines and is one of Caterpillar's largest facilities in Europe, employing 3700 people.
