AG Connect Expo Harvests Growth

Posted on February 3, 2013

The recently concluded AG Connect Expo & Summit 2013 was record-setting by all measurements, according to the show organizer, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

The 2013 show, which was held in Kansas City, Mo., attracted nearly 11,000 registrants, compared to 5800 registrants in 2011. The co-location of the American Farm Bureau Federation brought an additional 5500 registrants, AEM said.

The event had nearly 400 exhibitors and more than 220,000 net sq. ft. of exhibit space. Eleven percent of the registrants came from outside the U.S., with more than 50 countries represented. Eight Canadian provinces were represented at the show, along with all U.S. states except Hawaii.

In addition, there were more than 30 co-located events at the show, including 10 association conferences, eight educational seminars and more than 13 exhibitor events. There were more than 2600 tickets reserved for the show’s educational programming, and several tours were conducted.
