New CEO For Komatsu America

Komatsu America Corp. has named Rod Schrader as CEO and vice chairman, effective April 1. A 25-year veteran of Komatsu America, Schrader succeeds Dave Grzelak, who is stepping down as CEO, but will remain chairman of Komatsu America until the end of June 2013.

Schrader was executive vice president and general manager of the Mining Division of Komatsu America. He began his career with the company in 1987 and held positions in varied areas within Komatsu including product manager; manager, Large Equipment Sales; director, Marketing; VP, Product Marketing; and president, Komatsu Utility Corp. Schrader was appointed as a Komatsu America board member in July 2010.

Ivor Hill, currently vice president, Service, is being promoted to vice president & general manager, Mining Division.
