Deere’s Largest Marine Diesel

John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) is introducing its newest pleasure boat marine engine, the 13.5L PowerTech 6135SFM75 with outputs to 750 hp. The 6135SFM75 is a six-cylinder, electronically controlled, turbocharged and air-to-sea water aftercooled design.

Deere said the new engine meets EPA Tier 2 and EU emissions requirements and is MARPOL Annex VI compliant. Dave Flaherty, marine marketing manager said the 6135SFM75 is, “by far the most powerful engine produced by John Deere,” fitting in above Deere’s 610 hp 6125SFM75 marine diesel.

Flaherty said the engine is applicable for cruisers, trawler yachts, houseboats and other recreational applications, is especially suited for sportfishing boats.
