Cummins Spark-Ignited Gen-Sets Get EPA Certification

Posted on February 12, 2009

Cummins Power Generation announced that five of its spark-ignited generator sets have been certified to the EPA’s new exhaust emissions standards for gen-sets. The new regulations require that generator set engines not certified from the manufacturer must be brought into compliance with the regulation by the owner or operator.

“Emissions regulations are complex and can add to the cost of doing business as well as the worry of not being in compliance,” said Henry Zeng, product manager, Commercial Generator Set Business, Cummins Power Generation. “Cummins Power Generation delivers the benefit of simplicity to our customers. With a certified standby stationary generator set from Cummins Power Generation, the only responsibility of the customer is proper application and maintenance of the generator set. It’s an extremely cost-effective solution for owners and operators.”
