BAUMA 2013

This is the world's largest construction equipment show, held every three years.  The numbers are staggering--it is almost impossible to see everything in a week.  Fortunately, the organizers segmented the show by products years ago making it much easier to see what you need to see.

Consider the numbers from Bauma 2010; 420,000 visitors from 200+ countries with over 3200 exhibitors. And this in a year when a volcano put a dent in attendance. 

Yes, the show opens its doors on the weekend to the public, somewhat inflating the attendance figures. Nonetheless, it is without question the international construction equipment show.  The construction world truly comes to Munchen every three years.

The only caveat is that this volume of people sometimes makes for tough logistics getting to and especially leaving the show grounds.  Packed trains and traffic jams are the norm.
