Ametek Acquires Teseq Group

Ametek, a manufacturer of electronic instruments and electro-mechanical devices, said it has acquired the privately-held Teseq Group for $92 million.  

Teseq Group, which is headquartered in Luterbach, Switzerland, has annual sales of about $53 million, the company said. Teseq manufactures a line of conducted and radiated electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliance testing systems and RF amplifiers for a wide range of industries including aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, medical equipment, telecommunications and transportation, the company said.

Teseq has manufacturing and development operations in Luterbach as well as Germany, the United Kingdom and the U.S. with direct sales offices in China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the U.S.

It joins Berwyn, Pa.-based Ametek as part of its Electronic Instruments Group (EIG).
