Mayville Makes Acquisition

Mayville Engineering Co., a Wisconsin-based company that provides a range of prototyping, manufacturing, production fabricating, coating and assembly services to agricultural, construction, military and industrial markets, has acquired Center Manufacturing Inc., a Michigan metal components manufacturer from private-equity firm Industrial Opportunity Partners, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Center, based in Byron Center, Mich., has facilities in Michigan, Virginia, South Carolina and Mississippi and makes tubes, fuel tanks, fluid level indicators and other products for the commercial truck, construction and recreational power equipment industries. It will become a division of Mayville and the combined business will have sales in the range of $350 million, according to Robert Kamphuis, Mayville's chairman and chief executive.
