JCB To Launch Tier 4 Rough Terrain Forklifts

Posted on January 9, 2014

JCB is launching its latest rough terrain forklift (RTFL) range at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014. The machines are powered by the new Tier 4 JCB Ecomax four-cylinder diesel that delivers the same 74 hp (55 kW) output as the previous Dieselmax engine, but meets the Tier 4 emissions regulations without the need for a diesel particulate filter or an SCR exhaust aftertreatment system, reducing cost and complexity for customers. The Ecomax engine will be fitted to all three models in JCB’s North American RTFL range, which consists of the 930, 940 and 950.

Available with a four-speed Synchro Shuttle transmission for maximum durability and ease of use, the revised machines feature increased hydraulic flow — now 20 gpm — for faster lift and lower cycle times, increased productivity and reduced fuel consumption, JCB said.

The 930, 940 and 950 machines have lifting capacities of 6000 to 10,000 lb. with mast lift heights of 15 to 22 ft. All machines utilize JCB’s latest corporate styling and there are new front and rear-mounted working lights available. The machines can also be ordered with a canopy or a fully glazed cab, with the option of integrated air conditioning, improving the driving environment for the operator.
