Cummins Showing “Technology That Transforms”
Extending from 49 to 675 hp (36 to 503 kW), the Cummins diesel engine range for EPA Tier 4 final and EU Stage 4 will be a key focus of engine attention at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014. At the show, Cummins said it will focus on how its latest Tier 4 final technology not only meets emissions, but how it transforms equipment to be more productive and fuel efficient than ever before.
New engines from Cummins on display will include the QSF3.8, targeted toward a broad range of compact equipment, along with the QSG12, providing heavy-duty power for high output machines. In addition to engines, Cummins will also be showcasing some of the first Tier 4 final ready power packs in the industry, together with a power rental trailer.
The company’s portfolio of key enabling technologies will also be highlighted with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) aftertreatment from Cummins Emission Solutions, new NanoNet fuel filters from Cummins Filtration designed to provide exceptional levels of protection and variable geometry turbocharging (VGT) from Cummins Turbo Technologies engineered to enhance engine response.
Operators visiting the Cummins booth will be able to talk to Tier 4 specialists about Cummins’ successful field test program, with more than 70 machines accumulating high hours. While engine manufacturers offer some variation in the technology approach employed to meet the stringent Tier 4 final and Stage 4 requirements, Cummins said its latest generation of engines on display at ConExpo are not just the cleanest, but also the smartest and most productive engines the company has ever introduced.
