Case Equipment Announces Hydraulic Excavator
When it enters the market in 2015, the new CX350D hydraulic excavator will be the first of the Case D Series excavators introduced in North America. The CX350D is designed to offer significant advances in power, fuel savings, operation and control – all while meeting thenew Tier 4 final regulations for emissions control, the company said. The CX350D is slated to offer a 268 hp FTP diesel engine that incorporates a combination of cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) technologies, which are designed to help maximize uptime and performance. Weighing 82,400 lb., the machine achieves an arm digging force of 36,980 lb. and a bucket digging force of 51,640 lb. The “auto power up” function increases each of those to 40,200 lb. and 56,160 lb, respectively.
Case says this system, in coordiantion with advances in hydraulic control and function, provides contractors added power and performance while running more efficiently. MOre information about the new excavator will be released when the machine enters the market next year.
