Off-Highway Seats Designed For International Vibration Regulations

Posted on August 26, 2011

Milsco Mfg. Co Milwaukee, Wis. , a unit of Jason Inc., has introduced a series of new low profile seats designed to meet international vibration standards for some classes of off-highway equipment and industrial trucks.

The new Milsco models, the V6300 mechanical suspension seat and the V6400 air suspension seat, are designed to comply with ISO 7096 EM8 and EM9 regulations covering earthmoving machines. Both seat models also comply with the EN 13490 IT1 and IT2 regulations covering two classes of lift trucks. Both are built at Milsco’s Jackson, Mich. facility and will also be manufactured at the company’s Coventry, England operations in 2012.

The design of the V6300 and V6400 seats are based on the current Milsco model V5300 and V5400 seats that he said have been used in lift-trucks, skid steer loaders, utility tractors, telehandlers and ZTR’s. The new models are structurally the same, but redesigned to incorporate a modified suspension mechanism that provides compliance with these international standards.
