Certified G-Drive Engines

Posted on August 5, 2011

Cummins Power Generation has announced the availability of KTA19G engines rating-certified to 40 CFR Part 60 in the code of Federal Regulations establishing the New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) for stationary emissions sources. The KTA19G engines use an electronically fueled gas engine ignition system that allows an in-cylinder emissions solution without the need for aftertreatment.

Orders for the newly released certified product were being accepted as of Aug. 1, the company said. In April Cummins launched the GTA855E, also NSPS rating-certified to the emergency standard, from its Clovis, N.M., facility.
