Volvo Construction Equipment has appointed Pat Olney to president of the newly acquired road machinery business. The new product line was acquired from Ingersoll Rand in April and also includes Volvo’s motor grader lineup. Forming the new business unit, Volvo said, will provide a strategic focus on the road development segment which Olney will head. Olney comes to Volvo from Champion Road Machinery which was acquired by Volvo Construction Equipment in 1997. He held the senior vice president finance and CFO position at Champion's Brussels, Belgium, headquarters and returned to the company's Goderich, Canada, location as president of the motor grader business line.
