I-R Names Silber Prez, Utility Equipment

Ingersoll Rand announces the appointment of Larry Silber to president, Utility Equipment. In addition to taking on new responsibility for the Utility Equipment business, Silber maintains responsibility for sales to the rental industry for the Ingersoll Rand Construction Technologies and Compact Vehicle Technologies sectors. Over the past four years Silber has worked as president, Rental, Remarketing and Latin America.

Silber joined Ingersoll Rand in 1978. In 2000, Silber was named president of Ingersoll Rand Equipment & Services in North America with responsibility for all company-owned channels of distribution and service. He held that position until moving into his current role in 2002.
