Atlas Copco Consolidating Mining Ops
Atlas Copco said it plans to move the operations of two of its mining equipment production facilities in Sweden to a center in Örebro, Sweden. The aim, the company said, is to increase efficiency and strengthen the company for the future.
Atlas Copco plans to close the facilities of Atlas Copco Craelius AB in Märsta and Atlas Copco GIA AB in Grängesberg, relocating operations to Örebro, At Märsta, Atlas Copco manufactures mining equipment such as exploration drilling rigs. At Grängesberg, Atlas Copco produces mining equipment including underground loaders, utility vehicles and ventilation systems.
