New Award For Fluid Power Innovation
The National Fluid Power Association has announced a new annual award, the Fluid Power Innovation Awards. The first winners will be announced later this summer.
The NFPA Fluid Power Innovation Awards will honor the innovative achievements of individual design engineers in industries that use fluid power technology. The goal of these awards is to increase the visibility of hydraulics and pneumatics in those industries, and to raise the profile of exemplary individuals using fluid power technology to address market needs.
The innovations will be judged on designs that increase energy efficiency; improve reliability; reduce system size while maintaining or increasing power output; reduce environmental impact; and improve and apply energy storage, recovery and redeployment capabilities .
Engineers and technicians are eligible to participate in the awards. Membership in NFPA is not required. Applications are now open. The Entry deadline is 5:00 p.m. (CST), May 31, 2011.
