Donaldson Co. has been selected by General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, and BAE Systems, to provide Donaldson PowerCore Air Filtration technology as part of the Propulsion solution for the Systems Development and Demonstration phase of the Future Combat Systems (FCS) Manned Ground Vehicle Program.

Under the contract, Donaldson will provide a static PowerCore air cleaner assembly as part of the propulsion solution to power the FCS's family of Manned Ground Vehicles for the System Development and Demonstration phase.

The PowerCore filters incorporate twice the amount of filter media as conventional pleated media used in conventional engine filtration solutions, the company said. The upgraded air cleaner is designed for greater dust holding capacity and is three times more efficient than standard cellulose pleated media with no impact upon engine performance or airflow, Donaldson said.
